Went with pasta for this Friday evening – traditionally, we have pasta with thick tomato sauce or some kind of cream sauce, but this Pasta Pomordo was a thinner sauce that was very tasty. Doesn’t need quite as much garlic as the recipe calls for. I also threw in a bit of white wine and oregano. Very nice dish, and quick to prepare.
We accompanied it with a Bogle Chardonnay. Bogle is a very affordable and reliable label, across all varietals – we especially enjoy the Merlot and the Old Vine Zinfandel. The Chardonnay is pretty buttery but not overwhelming – quite pleasant all around.
